  I ordered the Trio of Schnitzels that the Black Bear Inn is quiet proud of. The pork and veal were great, however the Chicken was undercooked and raw. It was pink throughout. It was taken back to the Chef, who stated that the pink in the chicken was part of how it was cooked - which is a complete lie.

  The low rating is due to the Chef providing a poor excuse for the lack of QA within the Kitchen. The ambience and vibe of the restaurant is great.

  We came here for dinner outside of the main ski season. The menu was fairly limited, though they seem to really focus of quality over quantity. I ordered the soup and the prawns. My partner has the trio of schnitzel. The meals were a decent size. Even though we were there outside of the busy period, they didn't seem to have any trouble filling the place with people. Lovely ambiance and excellent service. The waiter was very accommodating with requests and offered great suggestions and commentary on the meals. They have a bar section near the restaurant area that also draws a crowd. Wide range of wines and a few good beers, local and imported. It was a little expensive, but that is to be expected in the Thredbo village.

  A great place for one off the wood with Mick after a hard day on the slopes. If you are feeling a little peckish then there is some good tucker on offer from the kitchen.

  Fantastic food although there are not many options. They messed up with my booking a bit but it was fixed quickly. I am a Millennial so I prefer more modern design hotel.
